Póvoa de Lanhoso and surroundings – Landscape and Nature
Póvoa de Lanhoso has a well-preserved natural heritage with mountain and valley situations. The flora and fauna are rich, highlighting the existence of a millenary oak, the Oak of Calvos, classified as a tree of public interest.
Centro de Interpretação do Carvalho de Calvos (tree of public interest) – is a leisure and ecotourism park with 17,300m2 of area, in which is implanted for more than 500 years an oak of the species Quercus Robur. It has an interpretation route with information about the oak as well as support infrastructures (information post, bar, picnic park, changing rooms and a children’s playground).
Fluvial Beaches: Praia Fluvial da Oliveira, Praia Fluvial da Rola, Praia Fluvial de Verim, Bar do Pontão (Andorinhas Dam, in Sobradelo da Goma)
Ermal Dam. (In Vieira do Minho) Of extraordinary natural beauty, the dam deserves a visit for nature lovers.
