Terms & Conditions
1. General
a) The online reservation made with Hotel Rural Vila Joaquina (hereinafter referred to as “Vila Joaquina”) covers these terms and conditions, which will prevail over any terms and conditions proposed by the guest.
b) Do not make any reservation without first reading and accepting all the terms and conditions presented.
c) The guest must fully agree with the Responsibility Policy exposed in these terms.
d) The contract will not be concluded until we have checked the details of your reservation. If we detect any irregularity, we reserve the right to cancel it.
e) We endeavour to ensure that there are no inaccuracies on our site. However, from time to time, it is natural that certain details may change. We make every effort to correct any errors, but are not liable for any losses that may have occurred.
f) Vila Joaquina may, without prior notice, change the terms and conditions regarding future sales and prospects.
2. Liability Policy
a) Vila Joaquina, its employees and representatives are not responsible for physical damage caused inside the facilities.
b) Vila Joaquina is not responsible for damage or loss of personal property that has not been stored in the respective sites, for that purpose intended to
3. Reservations
(a) Customers may request bookings directly through platforms:

b) When requesting reservations, customers will be required to provide identifying information, including, but not limited to, their name, address, contact telephone number, email address and bank references.
c) The reservation request shall be considered valid after confirmation and payment.
d) The Group Booking option will only be possible when availability is confirmed on the intended dates.
4. Fees and Payments
a) All prices are in € Euros, unless otherwise stated.
b) All prices are under the regulation of VAT according to the rate in force (6%).
c) The payment methods accepted are: Bank Transfer
d) Payment is made in accordance with that made available on the website.
e) The customer may be offered a different means of payment, however, the company reserves the right to change the means of payment.
f) The guest will be responsible for any bank charges incurred by the processing of bank transfers. (Note, it is common for the bank and the intermediary banks to charge a fee). We may charge you the missing amount if we are obliged to pay bank transfer fees incurred in your payment.
g) Unless otherwise agreed, charges only cover the provision of accommodation on the intended dates.
h) You may incur additional costs at the prices shown at the counter.
5. Services and Use
a) Vila Joaquina has a wide range of services to provide the guest with a pleasant experience during the stay.
b) The common areas, such as Living Rooms, Swimming Pool, Bathrooms, should be maintained as they are found: clean and organized.
c) The breakfast service is included in the final price of the reservation, whether the guest wishes to use this service or not.
d) The Rural Hotel Vila Joaquina does not have a restaurant, however dinner or other meals can be requested in addition to the breakfast included, but will be designated as “Complementary Service”, is optional and will have an additional cost, paid at the counter at checkout.
6. Cancellation Policy
a) Free cancellation up to 72 hours (3 days) before the booking date (full refund of the reservation).
b) Cancellation amount (non-refundable):
b.2) In case it is made 3 days before the reservation date and after the end of the cancellation period, 50% of the reservation value is invoiced.
b.3) In the previous 24h or no-show, 100% of the reservation value is invoiced.
c) Validation of cancellation through e-mail.
d) Vila Joaquina may, at any time, cancel the reservation if the details provided for payment are invalid and no alternative details are provided up to the booking date.
e) A reservation may be cancelled at any time if Vila Joaquina becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond its control, in which case Vila Joaquina shall pay the Customer a full refund of any charges and any reservation fees paid.
7. Hotel Rules
(a) no animals may enter the premises of Vila Joaquina.
(b) Smoking within the premises of Vila Joaquina is prohibited.
(c) Guests undertake to behave in a manner that does not disturb or disrespect other guests.
d) Silence is requested in the period between 22H00 and 7H00.
8. Copyright
All the contents of this website, including text, graphics, logos, images, image clips, as well as their compilation, assembly and organization, are the property of the Hotel Rural Vila Joaquina. and are protected by Portuguese and international copyright laws. None of this material may be copied, reproduced, distributed, republished, downloaded, displayed, disclosed or transmitted in any form or by any means, including, but not limited to, electronic and mechanical reproduction or recording, or any other means, without the prior written permission of Hotel Rural Vila Joaquina or its representatives.
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Rural Vila Joaquina Hotel, its officers, directors, owners, agents, information providers, affiliates, licensors and licensees (identified as the “Parties”) from and against any and all liability and costs incurred by the indemnified Parties in connection with any claim arising out of any violation of copyright laws by you, or by anyone on your behalf, including without limitation the costs of attorneys’ fees.
9. Applicable Law
This site is created and controlled by the Rural Hotel Vila Joaquina and the company Contacto Visual Lda, in Portugal. In accordance with the laws of the Portuguese State this disclaimer, terms and conditions have no effect in relation to conflicts of law; the Portuguese Courts will be given exclusive jurisdiction in any dispute. Hotel Rural Vila Joaquina reserves the right, at any time, to change this site, as well as the exclusion of liability terms, terms and conditions herein.
